The potential health problems posed by dry foods are not limited to the digestive system, coat, and organs, it is also important to consider the impact on oral health. Kibbles splinter when chewed, and become stuck in between the teeth and gums. This, along with added sugars, provides an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and plaque build up.
The solution? A miracle pet oral health formula? Costly dental surgery or cleanings? While cleanings can help deal with the symptoms, it is more important to get to the root of the problem. It is highly unlikely that anyone brushes a wolf’s teeth, and I don’t think it would be wise for anyone to try.
